Translation of the above 11 assurances in English language.

Whoever steps on the sacred land of Shirdi,
his sufferings will end immediately.

whoever climbs the steps of my Samadhi
end will come to his miseries and afflictions.

Even though I have left my body
I will come running for my devotees.

Wishes and desires are fulfilled here at my Samadhi
keep faith and firm mind on it.

I am ever alive, know this truth
know this by the experience of your self

If anybody in refuge to me has gone empty
show me a single inquirer such as that.

Whoever devoted to me with any feelings
will receive me with the same feelings

I will carry your burden always
there is no doubt, this is my promise

Everybody will find help and support here
they will get what they ask for

whoever becomes mine, with his body, mind and speech
I am indebted to him always and forever

Who ever chants the name of Sai will be overwhelmed
one who is graced at my feet.

The spiritual experience and other miracles from Dev Baba's life

Om Shree Sadguru Sainathaya Namaha !

In last chapter was the discription of the birth of Dev Baba and the miraculous happenings soon after the birth.

The divine grace was with Dev Baba all the time. Primary education of Dev Baba was in Marathi language. Then he was admitted in Wilson English Medium school. However, the attendance in the school were not regular. He was attracted to Swami Samarth math nearby and spent most his time in divine contemplation and meditation.

As a young man, he had to join Kurla Municipal Kirde Kendra as a teacher of physical education. Due to his spiritual nature all the students were his favorite and treated them with love and care. But the social minds of the students were at work. Few students from a particular sect thought that the the students from other sects were favored over them. This thought led them to lodge a complain against him.

A fellow teacher far from spirituality and who considered physical inflict was the answer to most problems, decided to give a good trashing to Dev Baba for favoring student of a particular sect over others. Few well wisher teachers who knew about this, went and warned about the same to Dev Baba.

Dev Baba casually said, "Oh, but he won't come to school tomorrow. Later it was known that the teacher with the intention to give a good thrashing to him had gone for swiming that evening and was drowned and died.

Dev Baba realized that Sai Baba had bestowed him with siddhis. The incident had a great impact on his mind and he decided to dedicate his life totally to spirituality and service to God.

He traveled to many sacred palces. After the visits to many pilgrimage he went to Himalayas and practiced Hatha yoga.

In 1945 his mother was seriously ill, he knew she would pass away soon. He gave her a mantra to recite in the last days of her life.

Then he went to Shirdi and began parayana (reading of sacred text or pothi in set number of days, preferably 7 days) of Shri Sai SatCharitra. Sai Baba used to encourage many devotees for regular reading or parayans of Pothi (sacred Text), for their spiritual progress. While the reading was on half way, he got a message through telegram that the condition of his mother was very serious.

Dev Baba in the Samadhi Temple asked Baba if he should go. Yes was the reply that he received. Now he was in quandary as to how he would go that far in such short time. He also ponderd why Sai Baba asked him to visit his seriously ill mother when the time was so short, and the journey so long.

Amazing, he was lucky to get the darshan of Sai Baba after His Mahasamadhi. Sai Baba stood in front of him. Sai Baba had brought a horse and asked him to follow accompany Him in sukhshma sharir (etheral or astral form). They both reached his home in Dadar. Met his mother and gently assured of peaceful passing away, and Sai Baba himself was present there to take care of the destination.

Here returned to Shirdi and continued his parayan. When he told the people about passing away of his mother and that he was there, the people were quiet amazed, as they saw him seated for prayan all the time.

In 1952 he married Kishori Bai, who shared the devotion towards Sai Baba. The couple moved to Ambarnath stayed in their ancestral home. On the first floor a Mandir (Temple) was made in 1967, a saat dhatu murti (idol made from the alloy of seven metals) of Sai Baba was installed and the pran prathista ceremony (invoking the grace of God in the idol) was performed.

Many people were attracted to Dev Baba and were guided to his Istha Dev Sai Baba. He took Samadhi on Thursday, May 25th, 1994 Vaishak Vaidya Apara Ekadashi. He asked his relatives not to perform rituals or religious ceremony following his Samadhi.

Dev Baba - A spiritual Devotee of Sai Baba

Aum Sai Ram,

Returning to blog after long time. Something has caused me to read Sai SatCharitra for 20 times. Could not write even though i tried few times to do so. The20 readings were completed yesterday morning and Sai Baba's grace bestowing leelas are back on the blog.

Happened to open a very good book named 'Baba's Rinanubandh' compiled by Vinny Chitluri, who has dedicated her life to Sai Baba like many devotees drawn by Him. She was Jabalpur, then she was in Delhi for graduation in studies and than to U.S.A. for post graduation. She practiced as a medical doctor in U.SA. and returned to India. She is now settled in Shirdi and have authored and published five books namely 1). Baba' Rinanubandh 2 & 3). Ambrosia in Shirdi part 1 & 2. - 4) Baba's Vaani. Fourth book is being written and will be published shortly.

The very first chapter has some amazing incidents indicating the ever powerful Baba's grace and help to His devotees.

The first chapter describes incidents from Dev Baba's alias Ananat Prabhu Walavakar. He was son of Rajaram Kaka and Krishnabai alias Sitabai (daughter of Hemandpant or Dabholkar from whom the sacred text flowed in the form of Shri Sai SatCharitra , a collection of grace bestowing stories of Shri Sai Baba).

During the pregnancy times Sitabai was ill and was at her parent's home. Dabolkar was much concerned over the illness of his pregnant daughter and he did what all devotees do. He rushed to Shirdi and told about the concern his Guru and God. Sai Baba assured him and said, " बालान्त्पन निर्विग्न होएल" meaning the delivery will be trouble free.

He also told that His son will be born to her.

Dabholkar returned home with Sai Baba's assurance and the prayers kept flowing from his heart and mind. Rajaram the to be father was devotee to Vitthal, pray earnestly to his deity asking for a son like Saint Dnyaneshwar.

At the delivery time both the Rajaram and Dabholkar waited anxiously outside. It was 13th April 1918 A.D. Upon entering the room to see his daughter and her new born child, Dhabolkar could not believe what laid before his eyes.

The mother had thrown the child in a corner of the room and would not touch or cuddle him. What was even more surprising was that the new born baby thrown in a corner of a room and away from his mother or any other human love and care, lay contentedly. The surprise elements were not over yet. One more surprising thing was seen, a halo of light around the head of the child and an aura of light around the child's body.

The mother was afraid to touch the child, and refused the much needed motherly care and nursing of the child. Quiet anxious and distraught at the mother's behavior, Dabholkar picked up the child and rushed to Shirdi. He went straight to Dwarkamai and kept the child at Sai Baba's feet and began explaining in detail, all that had happened with anxiety.

Meanwhile Sai Baba picked up the little child, laid him in his lap and patted him with His divine hands. Sai Baba gently put His thumb in the child's mouth and milked flowed from His thumb. Those who had been long with Sai Baba, it should not have been surprising, but yet another miracle that took place in the Divine presence of Sai Baba.

Aum SatChitAnanda Sadguru SaiNath Maharaj Ki Jai.

will be continued with the grace and divine love of Sai Baba the divine Sadguru

Offerings to Shirdi Sai Baba - Devotees experiences

Hi Alpesh,

I have been reading your website quite regularly for the last couple of weeks. It enriched my knowledge about Shirdi Baba and increased my endurance to problems. Blessed are all the Baba's devotees who receive constant guidance from Baba while in dreams or awake. I am very ignorant to decipher the subtle and cryptic messages from Baba. Baba, please shower your grace on us.

Thank You for giving us an oppurtunity to share our experiences. Please post the following in your website.

I lost my job in April and am staying at home taking care of my kids. Since september, I have been praying Baba to provide me with a job. To be honest, when I had my job I had a different set of priorities. In my mind I always wanted to go to Baba's temple and do the parayana at home. But I kept pushing it out saying that I am so bogged down with work and kids and just no time to do it.

Since october, I sincerely started praying to Baba. He made me finish the SatCharitra twice and also pulled me to the temple in Sunnyvale, California multiple times. I was able to finish the parayana with ease. Previously, I start Parayana and then give it up midway.

We are blessed with our second child in 2006. For some reason, I keep thinking that she is a blessed child of Baba and is a special gift to our family. To keep this Email short, I will just narrate one incident that happened in October.

So by Baba's grace, I was able to restart my prayers on Thursday October 23rd and wanted to continue praying at home. My daughter also sits next to me during the prayer and offers water to Baba. On saturday, I made a small garland of roses petals and put it around Baba's photo. I went downstairs to get some water and told my husband to watch the children. In a span of one minute, my daughter pulled the rose-petals garland from Baba's photo and my husband unintentionally spanked her gently for doing it and she started crying. I felt very sad to see my 22 months daughter cry and lost the mood to pray. This whole thing happened in front of Baba's photo.

I don't know why, but in the next 5 minutes I told my husband to watch the children while I go to Baba's temple in Sunnyvale. The temple opens at 11:00AM and I was there at 11:20AM. I was crying so much while driving, just being sad at things.

In the temple, I prayed to Baba and came back near the prasad section. Normally I sit for sometime in the temple, but since I was disturbed something pulled me to the prasad section. The volunteers in the temple put all the used flowers in a plate and leave it in the prasad section for devotees to take. Guess What !!! On that saturday morning, in that plate I saw a big beautiful garland made of Tulasi leaves/stems and red-roses probably from the previous day. I asked the volunteer if that garland is for the devotees and she said "YES". This garland is ten times longer that the one I made and home and beautiful too. In India, there are some many flower vendors and garlands are very common in temples, but not in states.

I truly feel that this is a miracle of SaiBaba. Never did I see a garland in the prasad plate. I always see loose flowers. Also it is very difficult for me to come to temple on a saturday morning. But Baba pulled me to his feet to teach me a lesson. I felt like he was saying "For a small garland you spanked my daughter. Take this one from my temple and never hurt her again". So I was sitting in front of Baba idol apologizing and doing the parayana. Then the volunteer comes near me and says "Baba wants you to give him water today after the prasad" I was surprised and said "What" ? She repeated and said "I don't know what is between Baba and you, but he wants you to offer him water. There are few other people in this room including an old lady but I think you need to offer him water" I was elated and surprised and nervous about this whole thing. Never did I come this close to Baba's grace. Baba made me stay in the temple for the complete madhyan-aarti and
I thanked him from deep inside my heart for showering his blessings.

Sometimes my intellectual brain makes me think that this is a coincidence but only Baba can give the right answer to an ignorant person like me.

Few more experience of Sai Baba devotee

Last post was about experiences of Ranjani S. This post has some more experiences she had about Shirdi Sai Baba.

Hi all,

I would like to share one of my experiences. Recently I and my mother went to Shirdi .When I went there, I had in mind that I want to buy one Satcharitha book and read in Dwarakamai and then I wanted to start reading that book. So on the first day, we were doing shopping and bought two Satcharitha books at outside shop.

We went to the hotel and the next day I wanted to take those books and keep on the holy stone kept at Dwarakamai. But on morning, while going to temple, we forgot the book to take along with us. Later I felt bad that I forgot. My mother wanted to see the bookstall of Shirdi temple which is inside the temple premises.

We went there and we bought again two copied of Satcharitha book with a thought that we can present those books, who are in need. Later we went to Dwarakamai, and by god's grace we had that book in hand though we have forgotten the book which we purchased yesterday.

So we thought that we could present the books which we have already left in the hotel room and we keep the book which is in hand for our use. So we went and sat in Dwarakamai and I randomly opened some page and started reading few line of Satcharitha. Surprisingly, while I was reading, I got to read the lines, "keep the book with you, this is for my prosperity". Once I read that I was in full of happiness. I still enjoy that moment whenever I think that. Thanks a lot sai ma

2. I wanted to share my one of the experience.

Few days back, I was away from home, where my only support is SAI. I used to do pooja and later used to read atleast one paragraph of sai satcharitha per day. One day night, I was sleepless, I started reading sai satcharitha chapter -, and while reading I got sleep, but I wanted to continue and finish that chapter and then sleep.

But due to my drowsiness, I closed the chapter at page number - and slept. The next day morning, I was feeling guilty ( A nice story of Rumi about guilty of not praying) that I dint finish that chapter and this was the very first thinking that came into my mind once I wake up. Later after taking bath and pooja was over, I took the satcharitha book and randomly opened. To my surprise, page number - was opened, which was the place I stopped reading during last night.

It was amazing! That's the moment, I came to know that SAI is everywhere and listening to us and he knows whatever we think.

Sri Sai ma… Thanks a lot for this wonderful experience.

Shirdi Sai Baba devotees experiences - Ranjani S.

Om Sai Ram,

It has been really long since a post has been written on this blog. Something cause me to read the Sai SatCharitra for 20 times and have been doing that. It's still on, till now 9 times the parayan has been completed and 10th has been started. It's all due to Sai Baba's grace that this is happening.

Just received wonderful experinces by a Saibaba devotee and am copy pasting them from my email inbox. She has sent 4 mails and so the experinces will be posted in 4 parts.

below is the first mail with experiences. Cool happy vibratins took over my mind and body when i read about her seeing the soil of Shirdi, which also awoke the rememberance of the same, and also about the doubt about devotees experinces in Shri Sai SatCharitra and how the doubt was removed in Sai's way of doing it. Giving her the same experience.

Hi Alpesh,
This is my first mail to you. i would like to share my experiences . Please display these experiences in your website.
Iam not sure whether iam sending it to your right mail id. Please reply am i sending this to the right person.
Below are my experiences.i have given 3 sets of experiences. Please put these in your website .
(1)

I am very eager to read the sweet moments of experiences of SAIBABA.in 2006, while I was browsing the internet , I was trying to read some experiences of SAI baktas. That was the year I touched soil of shirdi. After reading some of the experiences, I thought that I should also share some of my moments , But later for some reason, I dint post my experience even that thought remain in my mind, Now , this is 2008 , Thanks to Baba that I found this site! and now again while reading some of the experiences of sai baktas, I really feel sorry that I still dint post the experiences and now I write this for all sai baktas !

I too experienced some of the miracles of baba , which I would like to share … I got a good job in a MNC by the grace of baba. I attended that phone interview on Thursday praying baba that I have to get the job, and while the interview was going on , I was looking at baba's photo and was answering the question ! but I dint answer the questions in the interview well… after the interview was over, I thought I will loose that opportunity of getting the job. later that the moment I cut the call of interview, I really dint ask baba to get me the job. . but I just saw the photo of baba without asking him anything but consoled myself that as per baba's wish let it happen.

Within a week, I got a call that I got selected , and got the job …

Since that time I have never been to shirdi... But I have an very great desire to go to shirdi… after I joined the MNC company ,after few days ,in office I found a friend, who is also a sai devotee… and one day, we were speaking about her shirdi visit, she said she got a mail where it has the photos of shirdi.. I was eager to see that and asked her to open the mail box and I saw the photos with anxiety that when I would touch the soil of shirdi… and after a week I got a call for a project in mumbai for 2 and half months…when I get the call, it striked in my mind that if I go to mumbai , I may go to shirdi.. I have never been out of my home for a long period, and my parents will not allow me to stay alone as they afraid … so I was in a dilemma , whether to accept to go to Mumbai or leave that opportunity as in my home they will not allow. So I just called to my mother , praying saibaba to make my mother to accept to go . She never accept much easily for these cases, but with wonder, she said I could go…

I called my sai devotee (office) friend through phone , I was sharing my happiness that I may go to shirdi as in my home they accepted to send me to mumbai… and she said, it sai's call that u have to go there ..( I felt very much happy) and she reminded me that just a week before I was watching her mail box with photos of shirdi .. I was too happy but then I don't know anybody there in Mumbai... I am the only girl to go there... so I was thinking in my mind that only if I get another girl to accompany me, I would go, otherwise not !

I reached mumbai and there was girl in my own team, so I gave a try asking that shall we go to shirdi , but she doesn't show much interest on the trip and then after two weeks she left the place and come back to chennai. So I thought that is there anyother girl who could accompany me and the days are passing. After a month a girl joined as my roommate , and while some discussion was going on, I came to know that she is also sai devotee.. One day , She was discussing with her team member about the trip to shirdi in office and when we meet on that day night she said their team were talking about their trip. I was very eager to join them and said that if they go, I will join them without fail, and pleased her to accompany me… she said it's not decided fully, it was a plan and may be executed. Then days passed on and there was only one week left out of my 2 and half months period to return to my home place (Chennai). On Friday night while returning from office , I had to wait for bus, there was a stair where I sat and waiting for bus and was talking to baba from my heart that , " Baba , I came here to Mumbai only because I wanted to go to shirdi , if I do not get a chance , how will I reach my hometown back without seeing you , if it is so , for the purpose which I came to Mumbai is not done , Please baba, today is Friday , I really don't know what u will do , I have to touch the shirdi soil on Saturday ( the next day ) or by Sunday morning ". I was keep on thinking and speaking my grief to go to shirdi with baba and the bus came and when I reach my room , a surprise was awaiting for me !!!

it is that , my room mate (sai devotee) has booked ticket to go to shirdi , but by the time I reach the room she cancelled my ticket as because after booking the ticket for me along with their team member to visit shirdi , she was searching me in the place where I used to sit in the office , but unfortunately , when she came to search me , I was not available there … so , they decide to wait for sometime and let me know about the booking when I come to the room, she was waiting from 7.00 , but as the workload was heavy on that day , I reached room by 9.00 PM , as the time was running out , before I reach home, their team and my roommate decided to cancel the ticket as I may not reach by the time they leave to place to catch the bus…and there was no communication between us for some reason … so just few minutes before I enter the room , they called the travels and cancelled the ticket, and at the moment I reach the room , my roommate said " where are you, we are planning to go to shirdi ( i felt extreme happiness) , but we cancelled your ticket as we expect that u may not reach by the time we leave ( I felt extreme sadness) .. Then I asked her to make a call to travels and ask her to book the ticket as because I don't know to speak I Hindi...When she was speaking to the travels person , in my room I was crying a lot, asking baba to allow me to come to shirdi . She called and by Baba's grace, we got the ticket. But the ticket was not confirmed until we reach the place of departure, after we reach, it got confirmed and to my surprise we reached shirdi by Saturday morning ( this was the prayer I did last night that I wanted to touch shirdi soil on Saturday morning )

Now again a wonderful experience is , I have a thought while I was reading satcharita , that , in some adiyaya ( sorry I forgot the chapter number) , the baktas has realized baba in a form of Rama , shiva etc ..

But I used to think in myself that how could it be possible, because in front of them, while their eyes are to the baba's image, how could they see other god's image… Though I have faith in baba.

But It was the day I touched shirdi soil, I experienced that moment … We reached shirdi by 5.30 AM. The bus was parked in front of a hotel where there is a idol in front of that hotel. In that early morning, when we get down of the bus, when I saw the idol, I saw Ganesha's idol there, and I turned my face . The moment I turned around my face, I was thinking within me that , how come in shirdi , a ganesha's idol would be , why not BABA's idol , and again I turned my head to see the idol, I saw SAIBABA's idol there…. I really don't know what made me to see the idol again after I turned around my head !!!! This was my great, wonderful experience , I ever had and I never forget until my life… sirdi satchidhananda satguru sainath maharaj ki jai .

Thanks and Regards,

Ranjani

Constant remembrance of God

In the book, Unravelling the Enigma, Shirdi Sai Baba in the light of Sufism, came across the characteristics of a true Sufi written by a Sufi Master Shekh Mahammad.

The true living Sufi is the one who has eliminated anger and lust. Constantly he remembers Allah even while breathing in and out. He avoids useless talks and He enjoys happiness in solitude. He does not show pride in in His Sufi achievement of extinguishing thirty-six stages [of obstacles on path of realizing God], by his own effort. He is entranced with love [of God] and He has lost his consciousness in meditation.

This brought about the memory of the last post about Shirdi Sai Baba's anger in the last post. Also mentioned in the post is that perfect Masters like Sai Baba does not have a trace of anger or lust. They are totally free of them.

Yet anger is shown due to the tremendous compassion they have for the devotees and all living beings. The anger is directed to free the one from calamities and from effect of bad karmas. The anger is totally absent for any living being, for them it is total compassion, and out of this compassion the anger is shown. The anger seen by our physical eyes is in fact tremendous love and compassion from His side. Since the absence of pride it does not even deter Him that few devotees accustomed to judge saints (the linked post gives us great message or teaching from Sai Baba about why not to judge a saint and stick to our Sadguru) through their scriptural knowledge. They might say, 'O the scriptures say that the saints are free from anger and He is showing anger."

Another very important thing for us to remember is the constant remembrance of Allah or God. Even when they breath in and out. A very good account of the same is given in the sacred text Shri Sai SatCharitra, chapter 45.

Sai Baba says, "How can he sleep on the plank? It is not easy to sleep up on the plank. He who has many good qualities in him can do so. He who can sleep 'with his eyes wide open' can effect that. When I go to sleep I ask often Mhalasapati to sit by My side, place his hand on My heart and watch the 'chanting of the Lord's name' there, and if he finds Me sleepy, wake Me up. He can't do even this. He himself gets drowsy and begins to nod his head. When I feel his hand heavy as a stone on My heart and cry out - 'Oh Bhagat', he moves and opens his eyes. How can he, who can't sit and sleep well on the ground and whose asana (posture) is not steady and who is a slave to sleep, sleep high up on a plank? On many other occasions Baba said, out of love for His devotees - "What (whether good or bad) is ours, is with us, and what is another's is with him."

In this few lines lies the great treasures for those interested in Spirituality and Love of God or Shri Sai Baba. The constant remembrance of God has been much emphasized. Many things are indicated . Firstly the constant remembrance of God gives many good qualities. The remembrance of God is not just for temples and when we sit and do puja or kiratn or Naamsmaran or performing Aartis or doing parayanas. It should be done every moment. While working, talking or doing anything that requires us to do. Solitude is best for us for remembering God. Time in solitude must be seeked for this purpose.

In Shri Sai SatCharitra chapter 18 and 19 Sai Baba pointed us for not idling our time in gossip and useless talks. To one engaged in such useless talks Sai Baba warned him and us.

Sai Baba pointed out to him a pig that was eating filth near the fence and said to him - "Behold how, with what relish it is gorging dung. Your conduct is similar. You go on reviling your own brethren to your heart's content. After performing many deeds of merit, you are born a man, and if you act like this, will Shirdi help you in any way?"

It is clear that Sai Baba warns us that spending time in gossip or useless talks like relishing the gorging of dung. The pilgrimage and sadhans also does not help much if it is done. Most efforts should be put on remembrance of God. Also is indicated while speaking about Mhalasapati, the importance of awareness of our body posture or asana while we are awake. If we are constantly aware about the posture or asana while we are awake we could be free of many negative thoughts and remeberance of God becomes easy. The body, the hands the fingers take different postures while in different moods. Constant awareness on our body posture can free us from getting unconsciously getting into downing and negative moods and get ourselves remembering the love and grace of God. On getting in negative and disturbing moods we can remeber Sai with more intensity and ask him to free us form the same with Shraddha(Faith) and Saburi (patience), He is there to free us!

Om Sai Ram.

Shirdi Sai Baba's anger and foul language

Jai Sainath

Shirdi Sai Baba, love embodiment, who always use to speak in soft loving voice, sometimes talking with sense of humor, was also known for occasional outburst of anger, using of foul language and even physically beating the people, to the length throwing stones at them.

For those unknown with His spiritual hierarchy would think of Him as mad Fakir. Those who had some idea of the greatness of Shri Sai Baba, actually looked forward for getting some abuse from Sai Baba or get some beating from Him.

An example could be given of Sai Baba's anger from Shri Sai SatCharitra in chapter 23 of Shama's getting stung by a poisonous snake. Struck with fear, he ran towards Masjid (Dwarkamai) to his Deva (Saibaba) for help. As he approached the Masjid, he saw Sai Baba in rage.

He got enraged and said - "Oh vile Bhaturdya (Priest) do not climb up. Beware if you do so" and then roared - "Go, Get away, Come down." Seeing Sai Baba thus red with wrath, Shama was greatly puzzled and disappointed.

But later it was found out that it was not Shama on whom Sai Baba was angry with, the order was given to the poison in Shama's body.

At another time a trader had decided to gift a baby horse (foal) to Saibaba if his wish was fulfilled. On the fulfillment of the wish he sent the foal (Shyamsunder, who was much adored by Sai Baba and the grown up horse loved Baba equally, one of the most lucky animals), through a servant who had to work just for survival.

On seeing him approaching Sai Baba suddenly got in rage and threw stone at him injuring him physically. The dazed and angry victim wanted to file a complaint with police against Sai Baba for the same, but was stopped by prominent devotees of Shri Sai Baba. They tried to explain him how lucky he was and that they themselves wait and long for such a beating. He was presented with some money by the same devotees and with it he himself became trader and owner of land and animals. The everyday work for survival ended for him.

On some instance Sai Baba would just get in rage without any apparent reason for the onlooker. He would be looked upon as getting angry at some imaginary object in air. Later it would be found out that exactly at that time a close devotee of His was in great trouble and survived or was saved miraculously.

For those having affinity with spirituality knows that Saints and perfect Masters getting angry at them have a great beneficial meaning for them.

Was reading A saint should not do this. There are few lines on the same subject.

"When the Master physically hits a person, they are free and this actually kills all their sanskaras. And that means, of course, liberation."

These Masters — Upasni Maharaj, Meher Baba — have no greed. They don't have lust. They don't have anger. Nothing. So why should they beat a person? If it seems like anger, then it is sham anger. When they thrash you, it means no more births and deaths for you."

Saibaba Himself used to say that he longed for his devotees love and that he would always be by their side looking for their welfare. He would always respond their call and be by their side protecting them and looking for their spiritual and worldly welfare.

Anantkoti Bhrahmand Nayak Raja Dhiraja Yogiraj ParaBhrahma Sri Sat Chit Anand Sadguru Sainath Maharaj Ki Jai!

Loving Sai Baba in the most practical way

After my first experience in Shirdi, there was a great pull towards Shirdi and Sai Baba. There were frequent visits to Shirdi. Just being in Shirdi and sacred places like Samadhi Mandir, Dwarkamai or Masjid, Gurusthan, Chavadi was in itself a great experience with the divine vibrations felt.

Other than that, there was so little information i had about Sai Baba and Shirdi. So every book available in the market on Shirdi Sai Baba was picked up and read with great relish.

Internet was browsed through, pictures of Sai Baba and Shirdi were downloaded. More and more information was read, available on the Internet. Most of the websites were gone through in details.

Searches on Internet were made with different key words searches like Saibaba, Sai Baba, Shirdi Sai Baba, Shirdi and hence new websites about Sai Baba were stumbled upon. Searching for the word Baba i had stumble upon How to Love God by Meher Baba. Those few words had such profound and deep meaning that next few months were spent on reading anthology, great treasure there for those interested and dedicated to Spirituality.

Reason for the mind to remember this, is a line spoken today by a Sai Baba devotee (Rakesh), who has become my good friend since a year and a half. Earlier he used to visit a sports club were i used to run a restaurant. He always saw Shri Sai SatCharitra in my hand and being the owner i used to give a glance on the work going on in the restaurant, go out in the lawn, sit on a chair and read Shri Sai Charitra or Gopel of Sri Ramakrishna. Well most of the days we were out of business and this was perfect way to spend the idle time for me. Though few times if a friend who played tennis happened to come there, there were couple of sweating hours, on the tennis court. Seeing my constant companion Shri Sai SatCharitra he had introduced himself as a Sai Baba devotee.

Rakesh is a devotee Sai Baba have made friend with me who takes care of lot of Sai Baba related work. Free Sacred Udi and Shri Sai SatCharitra, which are sent to the devotees all over India are actually brought by him from Shirdi and packed and parceled by him. i was reluctant to start this service as i seldom leave home and most of the time is occupied in meditation or reading. He assured me that he will do the work and since many devotees had been sent the sacred book and Sai Baba's Udi from Shirdi. Lately after seeing the devotion he has presented me with some treasures (spiritual treasures) he had got from Shirdi.

He had been for a work of service today. About 1,500 students, blind, orphans, physically and mentally not so capable were taken to a fair for free joy rides, good meal and some presents. After the seva he visited my home and told me about it. Most students he said would have to be sited on the rides as they themselves were not capable of sitting. A wave of pain struck my heart as i listened to this. Than he said, he told his friend who had been present there for the seva(service), look you always cry about your misfortune, i don't think you should do it after seeing this.

This reminded me How to Love God by Meher Baba. i had taken out a print out of the same and had stuck it in my room and every morning i used to read it. A line from the same says

If, instead of worrying over our own misfortunes, we think ourselves more fortunate than many many others, we are loving God

This also reminds of a very good writing on Shirdi Sai Baba, which very difficult to find on Internet through search engines and i have not seen any other website or blog or group dedicated to Shirdi Sai Baba linking it. On this blog it has been linked from the right hand side side bar.

God's or Guru's grace

God's or Guru's grace is perhaps the most important and valuable in the spiritual pursuit. Was reading the sacred book Sai SatCharitra (the grace bestowing book), and in chapter number 21 are the two stories of Mr. Thakur and Anantrao Patankar. In both the stories or incidents the importance of Guru's or God's grace has been given.

The first story of Mr. Thakur is really wonderful. It states that he met Kanarese Saint (Appa) and bowed before him. He had this, Respect to the Saint and bowing them. The saint Shri Appa was reading a spiritual book and explaining the portion to the listeners. Just like Sai Baba used to guide to regularly read (parayans) sacred and spiritual books, Sri Appa too guided him study the book. He further affirmed that doing so will fulfill his desires. What the saint said further is important to ponder on. He knew of the meeting of Mr. Thakur with SadGuru Shri Sai Baba. He said that with his good luck he would be meeting a great Saint who will show him future path and give rest to his mind.

Reading the book will fulfill the desires first and help him to meet the Sadguru, who will show him the path and give rest to mind. Much is indicated in those few words of the saint. Fulfillment of desires does not give rest to mind nor mere book reading without the grace of Guru or God.

Then is the discription of the crossing of Nahne ghat which was very difficult, and how he met the instrument and devotee of Shri Sai Baba, Nanasaheb Chandorkar. And how he reached Shirdi, fell at Sai Baba's feet and was overjoyed. Getting overjoyed in the presence of Baba and signs of tears flowing through his eyes and hair standing on the body, indicated his simple and devoted heart. This still happens to many devotees and even to the writer. And since Sai Baba's presence is everywhere it not only just happens in sacred land in Shirdi but happens while many a times to many of the devotees while listening to His name or chantings, visiting local temples, looking at His picture, listening or reading His stories or Leelas, seeing Shirdi on television or even while seeing the television serial, where an actor plays the part of Sai Baba. There might be few more things to make this happen which i might be missing out here.

Then comes the words that fell from Sai Baba's mouth which are very important.

"The path of this place is not so easy as the teaching of the Kanarese Saint Appa or even as the buffalo-ride in the Nhane Ghat. In this spiritual path, you have to put in your best exertion as it is very difficult".

Spiritual path is not easy and one needs to put the best exertion. Perhaps as it is the matter of life and death. Mr. Thakur was induced with further faith by the omniscience of Sai Baba on the mention of crossing of the ghat, and with devoted heart he joined his hands and put His head on sacred feet of Sai Baba (how lucky :)) and asked for His blessings.

The merciful Sai Baba said - "What Appa told you was all right, but these things have to be practised and lived. Mere reading won't do. You have to think and carry out what you read, otherwise, it is of no use. Mere book-learning, without the grace of the Guru, and self-realization is of no avail".

Again the words from Shri Sai Baba's mouth each word so important. What we read in sacred book has to be lived. If not lived it is not much of use. And mere book learning in spiritual matters without the grace of Guru is also of less importance.

The story that follows is of Anantrao Patankar, a scholar of spiritual books like Vedas, Vedants, Upnishads and Puranas. Yet he had one great quality, which is found missing in many scholars. He was aware of the lack of peace of mind with him. Many scholars after reading a lot likes to think they know much and gets puffed up with pride of knowledge, the knowledge of words.

He had herd about the grace of Sai Baba and the ability of the Sat Chit Anand Sadguru Shri Sai Baba of giving peace to mind by mere divine glance or few playful words. A parable of horse was told by Sai Baba, which he failed to understand. With the inspiration of Sai Baba one devotee told him about the Navavidha bhakti. Nine forms of devotion.

1. Shravana listening to the praise of lord or chantings of lord.

2. Kirtana - singing the glories of God and Saints, devotional songs and bhajans

3. Smarana - remebering the God or Sadguru wherever we are what ever we are doing.

4. Padsevana - resorting to the feet of Sadguru (Thou art the doer i am the machine) surrender with heart soul and mind.

5. Archana (Worship) Worshiping the God or Sad Guru

6. Namaskara - Bowing to Sadguru and giving the self to Him

7. Dasya service serving the guru with bhava of a dasa a divine servant who serves his Sadguru

8. Sakhyatva (Friendship) looking to Sadguru as a friend and always remembering Him as the best friend.

9. Atmanivedana (surrender of the self)

If any one of these is done with totality with Faith and Patience and as Sai Baba had said in the earlier story
"In this spiritual path, you have to put in your best exertion as it is very difficult"

More from Sai Baba's mouth on Bhakti and surrender while explaining verse of Gita

Next day Patankar went and bowed to Sai Baba and asked for real treasure His grace and was graced by Shri Sai Baba with the affirmation that his mind would attain peace and welfare.

Bolo Shree SatChitAnand SadGuru SaiNath Maharaj Ki Jai !!!

Kirtan and Naamsmaran

Much have been written on Meditation and devotion on this blog. And much have been written about miracles or chamatkars of Shri Sai Baba of Shirdi. Much have been written about the presence of Sai Baba's divine love and grace with the sacred text Shri Sai Sat Charitra.

One very important aspect of the devotion or bhakti marga, Naamsmaran (chanting the name of God) and Kirtan (singing the glories of God in devotional songs called bhajans or Qawwali in Sufi tradition) was much liked by Shri SaiBaba. In books related to experiences of devotees with Shri Sai Baba of Shirdi , devotees with the knowledge of music had said that Shri Sai Baba use to correct them on some ragas and musical scales.

Sai Baba himself use to sing bhajans and qawallis, and loved to hear the chantings and bhajans from his devotees. In early 1900 A.D. two devotees that acted as a major instrument to spread the Divine love of Shri Sai Baba were Nanasaheb Chandorkar, who used to tell stories aout Shri Sai Baba and induce the Shraddha (Faith) in people, and Das Ganu Maharaj who use to sing devotional songs and bhajans.

Many devotees were attracted by Shri Sai Baba through the devotional songs sung by Das Ganu Maharaj.

The writer had enjoyed the beautiful and Kirtans, charged with Divine frevor on the Janmashtami day with a Bhajan singer and an instrument of Sri Sri Ravishankarji, VikramHazra , in Navsari about 70 kms from Surat. Apart from the good music and deep devotional and musical voice, there is always the quality of divine fervor in his bhajans. Returning after a spiritually charged session of Kirtan, Satsang as it is called in Art of Living, me and another friend of mine drove straight to a local Temple of Shri Sai Baba at 12 in the night and celebrated the birthday of Lord Krishna with the Arati Jai Jagdish Hare, followed by chanting of the sacred name of Shri Krishna and Shri Sai Baba. Both this in succession the spiritual charge was too much. Om Sai Ram.

Few links about Shri Vikram Hazra

Videos of Bhajans of Vikram Hazra however attending them live has a totally different quality to them.

article about Vikram Hazra in Hindu

And an older one, from Coimbatore

As the divine would will it, the writer has always been in Vikrambhaiya's company for hours whenever he happens to visit Surat. This time He visited my home and was with me for three hours. Reason, we had to work on Vikram Hazra's blog. He has been kind enough to give the credits in one of the posts of his blog.

Devotees of Shri Sai Baba should attend Vikrambaiya's Satsang, he travels around the globe spreading the divine love through his devotional singing. One more thing about him i would like to mention that few person i knew had to leave eating non vegeterian food and alchohol after spending few days with him, doing the DSN (Divya Samaj Nirman) he conducts with the blessings of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.

Vikrambhaiya's picture in this post has been stolen without his permission from his blog, hope he would not mind it.

Can we understand Sai Baba's activities ?

Just as the last post about not allowing the thought of only my idea is true was over, the next paragraph holds another important aspect for bhakti, devotion, God, Sadguru, meditation .....

A few quotes from Shri Sai SatCharitra to begin with

While meditating on him my mind and intellect were stunned and I had thus to keep quiet and bow to him in silence.

"I resorted to My Guru for 12 years. He brought Me up. There was no dearth of food and clothing. He was full of love nay, he was love incarnate. How can I describe it? He loved Me most. Rare is a Guru like him. When I looked at him, he seemed as if he was in deep meditation, and then we both were filled with Bliss. Night and day, I gazed at him with no thought of hunger and thirst. Without him, I felt restless. I had no other object to meditate, nor any other thing than My Guru to attend. He was My sole refuge. My mind was always fixed on him. This is one pice Dakshina. Saburi (Patience or perseverance) is the other pice. I waited patiently and very long on My Guru and served him. This Saburi will ferry you across the sea of this mundane existence. Saburi is manliness in man, it removes all sins and afflictions, gets rid of calamities in various ways, and casts aside all fear, and ultimately gives you success. Saburi is the mine of virtues, consort of good thought. Nishtha (Faith) and Saburi (Patience) are like twin sisters, loving each other very intimately."

Then Sai Baba spoke as follows:- "My method is quite unique. Remember well, this one story, and it will be very useful. To get the knowledge (realization) of the Self, Dhyana (meditation) is necessary. If you practice it continuously, the Vrittis (thoughts) will be pacified. Being quite desireless, you should meditate on the Lord, Who is in all the creatures, and when the mind is concentrated, the goal will be achieved. Meditate always on My formless nature, which is knowledge incarnate, consciousness and bliss. If you cannot do this, meditate on My Form from top to toe as you see here night and day. As you go on doing this, your Vrittis will concentrate on one point and the distinction between the Dhyata (meditator), Dhyana (act of meditation), Dhyeya (this meditated upon) will be lost and the meditator will be one with the Consciousness and be merged in the Brahman. The (mother) tortoise is on one bank of the river, and her young ones are on the other side. She gives neither milk, nor warmth to them. Her mere glance gives them nutrition. The young ones do nothing, but remember (meditate upon) their mother. The tortoise glance is, to the young ones, a down-pour of nectar, the only source of sustenance and happiness. Similar is the relation, between the Guru and disciples."

Shri Ramakrishna Paramhamsha in Gospel of Sri RamaKrishna : " What can a man understand of God's activities? The facets of God's creation are infinite. I do not try to understand God's action at all. I have heard that everything is possible in God's creation, and I always bear that in mind. Therefore I donot give a thought to the world, but meditate on the God alone. Once Hanuman was asked,' What day of the Lunar month is it?' Hanuman said : ' I don't know anything about the day of the month, the position of the moon and stars, or any such things. I think of Rama alone.'

So much synchronicity in the teachings. Why should we try to understand Baba's leela. Just as He said we should meditate on Sai Baba and think of Sai Baba, alone and not put the heart and mind on anything else. Than the mind will be shunned and in silence He will reveal Himself to us.

Aum SaiNathaya Namahah.

Never allow the thought - My ideas are only true

Reading The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna came across few lines of great potential. Some times just a line or few lines if they penetrate the heart brings about a great change in the way one lives and think.

One line from Sadguru Sai Baba, that has penetrated deeply in the writers heart is

"When you hurt anybody know that you are hurting Me !"

or the same thing retold in other words
"He who carps and cavils at others, pierces Me in the heart and injures Me, but he that suffers and endures, pleases Me most."

This words have penetrated so beautifully by the divine love and grace of Sai Baba, that it is not even possible to think about injuring anybody or complaining even in the thoughts. i feel i would injure Baba's heart by doing so. Even when treated with harshness by somebody, and thrown in deep pain, the complain or thought of injuring the one that has injured does not come, or stops immediately as it is about to enter.

Now Sri Ramakrishna Paramhamsha's words and how Sai Baba showed the same with action and not as a teaching. Rather it was a teaching with action that none present at that moment could forget.

Sri RamaKrishna : " It is enough to believe that all is possible in God's creation. Never allow the thought to cross your mind that your ideas are the only true ones, and that of those of others are false. Then God will explain everything.

Getting free from our ideas is very essential. Mostly with the matter with God, Sadgurus and devotion. If our ideas are more important it hampers our spiritual progress. Once we are free from the importance of our own ideas the God and Sadguru explains us or let us know everything. Realated post on our desires.

Sai Baba's ways of teaching are unique and with many aspects. The mediums of teaching were not limited. Sai Baba taught the same in action. In Chapter 24 of Shri Sai SatCharitra, an incident is given

"To quote an instance, the same Mavsibai was on another occasion, kneading Sai Baba's abdomen. Seeing the fury and force used by her, all the other devotees felt nervous and anxious. They said, "Oh mother, be more considerate and moderate, otherwise you will break Sai Baba's arteries and nerves". At this Sai Baba got up at once from His seat, dashed His satka on the ground. He got enraged and His eyes became red like a live charcoal. None dared to stand before or face Sai Baba. Then He took hold of one end of the Satka with both hands and pressed it in the hollow of his abdomen. The other end He fixed to the post and began to press His abdomen against it. The satka which was about two or three feet in length seemed all to go into the abdomen and the people feared that the abdomen would be ruptured in a short time. The post was fixed and immovable and Sai Baba began to go closer and closer to it and clasped the post firmly. Every moment the rupture was expected, and they were all dismayed, did not know what to do, and stood dumb with wonder and fear. Sai Baba suffered this ordeal for the sake of His Bhakta."

Saibaba image formed by clouds in satellite images

In a yahoo group dedicated to Sri Sai Baba of Shrdi, an interesting picture has been sent by a devotee. A devotee named Sahilesh Gupta from Akola Maharashtra district was going through Indian meteorological department's website, for the study of monsoon and going through the sattellite images. On one of the images in the Indian continent area in the Banglore Karnataka area he observed image of Shirdi Sai Baba had formed by the clouds. He sent the image to one Sai Baba devotee who also does the seva of sending free Sai SatCharitra andsacred Udi from Shirdi in USA for free, to the devotees.

The image has been uploaded. A red circle has been added around the image of Shirdi Sai Baba formed for an easier spotting of the same. I downloaded the image from http://groups.msn.com/sabkamalikek/omsairam.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=346

Shirdi Sai Baba devotees experiences

Aum Sai Ram,
Jai SaiNath,

Since last many days, there is no update on this blog. Have been continuously reading Shri Sai SatCharitra and Gospel of Sri RamaKrishna Paramhamsha. i don't even know how many parayans of Sai SatCharitra has been completed. Sometimes the reading of the book gets over in a day, sometimes takes a couple of days and sometimes in three days.

i received some very good expeiences of a Shirdi Sai Baba devotee and a reader of this blog, dedicated to Almighty Sat Chit Anand Shri Sai Baba of Shirdi.

The devotee does not wish to disclose his name, so the experiences will be published as the experience of Sai Baba devotee with Faith and Patience

Below are the wonderful experiences that were emailed for the purpose of publishing them on this blog. i particularly liked the experince about Sai Baba appearing in dream and reminding him about generation old unfulfilled vow.

Jai Sairam. OM Viswa Praanaaya Sainaathaya Namaha

There are probably infinite # of incidents that have been casted for me by Sri. Baba and may be I am not that wise to understand all. Out of the many that I am aware of within
my wisdom and could remember, me being a human doesnt help either. If I could give 1% back to Baba for the 100% he gives to me, I think I have lived the purpose of my life. However, I had to publish these per my promise to Baba, and below are my personal stories.

Incident 1
----------
That was roughly about 60 yrs ago when my grand father had a vow to perform "Naga Prathistha" at Rameshwaram, due to some family borne issues. He did pass away at a very young age(37) himself and my dad was about 6 yrs at that point. I guess my dad and his siblings did know about the vow, but probably never had thought about it seriously, until when my oldest aunt had a threatening dream from the serpant Naga. She did rush to perform Naga Prathistha, but being that she was married by then, the fruits of that never applied
to my grand fathers wishes.

About an year ago( sept 2007), I restarted my acquaintance with Baba, after being on and off in terms of a devotee(i used to go to his temple, perform parayana on and off for a long while). It was like I used to go to him for any help I needed, and then forget him until the next issue came up. I still remember when I saw his picture for the first time. I was about 4.5 yrs then. So, in 2007 I started "Parayana" again(the last time I did Parayana was about 6 yrs ago), and had done 3 in line, and had wonderful time during those weeks. I then slowed a little and since then up until last month was doing a page every day.

So during April 2008, while at 3rd time of "Parayana", i had a dream. There was Baba in it, along with Naga and too many snakes. Baba started telling me about the vow from my grand father and how it went unnoticed for generations. Baba also indicated that the surgey I had last year was because of the unfulfilled vow.

I called my dad, and he was surprised as to how I knew about the dream, when it was vowed, and how it went unfulfilled. A vow that was committed to 60 yrs ago, came back as a dream because of Baba. I did send my dad and all his siblings to fulfill their fathers vow. During first week of May 2008, my father and his siblings did perform Naga Prathistha.

I have in my life been a devotee and a non-devotee of my gods, not to stay at one place, but now internally have found my home, and my god. If not for Baba, I would have never had the opportunity to fulfill my grand fathers wishes and vows. I am glad that I had an opportunity as a grand son to do something for my grand father whom I will never meet.

Incident 2
----------
We had a baby daughter born to us in Aug 2007. She is a very healthy and an active kid. The only problem with her was that she would not sleep thru the night. Being that its just me and the wife who take care of our daughter(we live in USA), and she does not sleep thru the night, we were really getting tired. It was almost 11 months that we did not have sufficent sleep and frustration was mounting.

Up until that point I did not seek assistance from baba or any help. One night, I was really frustrated and asked Baba for help and promised to write this story and above story on the blog, if he cures my daughter and helps her sleep. Strangely, in a couple of days from then, my daughter has been sleeping very well, but not the whole night yet. But I definetely can correlate to how my request is being granted, and I am sure by the time every one of us gets to read this
story she will be sleeping through the night.

Incident 3
----------
I very recently brought a home in USA and the same day when I had the keys handed over to me, I got laidf off. It was totally a harrasment to be jobless on the same day in a foreign country when you buy a home. Within 3.5 weeks from being laid off, I was called back to a same team that I was with originally. Baba, did definetely do this to test my patience and trust in him. Not once in those 3.5 weeks, I had cursed my luck or Baba and he did what he had to.

My confession -
---------------
I have done many mis-deeds in my life and probably countless errors when I knew what I was doing was wrong. I probably was deceitful and probably played with peoples trust. I have probably played with peoples emotions and have probably ruptured their hearts. I was short tempered, I was egoistic and I was stupid. I was mean to people and cussed at them as well. I was not an obidient son or a family member. I ask baba for forgiveness in front of you all, and promise to be his child, and want him to accept me back again.
Please help pray with me for his forgiveness of me and thanks to all for sharing your experiences as well.

Sai the consciousness that pervade everywhere

  • Sitting here I know everything and I am everywhere

Though He looked like living in Shirdi, He was present everywhere. This all-pervasiveness of His way daily experienced by His devotees. Our humble prostration to this all-pervasive Sadguru.

  • Though Baba has no body now, He lives there and everywhere, and will effect the welfare of the devotees even now as He was doing before when He was embodied. Saints like Baba never die, though they look like men, they are in reality God Himself.

  • I require no door to enter. I have no form nor any extension; I always live everywhere. I carry on, as a wirepuller, all the actions of the man who trusts Me and merges in Me."

  • Being quite desireless, you should meditate on the Lord, Who is in all the creatures, and when the mind is concentrated, the goal will be achieved.

Above are some quotes from Shri Sai SatCharitra, the book that bestows grace and vibrates with the presence and divine love of Sai Baba. As mentioned in post The Gospel of Sri RamaKrishna that book too vibrates with the divine love, and pushes the mind towards the divine love of God, for me Sai Baba.

The reason for putting all the quote is the striking experience of Sri RamaKrishna as a devotee, of the all-pervasiveness of God. The conciousness that vibrates everywhere not an iota is left.

Read the following experience where Sri RamaKrishna fed a cat with the food intended for Divine Mother. Below is what Sri RamaKrishna said about the same.

The Divine Mother revealed to me in the Kali temple that was She who had become everything. She showed me everything was full of Consciousness. The image was Consciousness, the altar was Consciousness, the water-vessels Consciousness, the door-sill was Consciousness, the marble floor was Consciousness -- all was Consciousness. I found everything inside the room soaked, as It were, in Bliss,

Bliss of God. I saw a wicked man in front of the Kali temple; but in him also I saw the power of the Divine Mother vibrating. That was why I fed a cat with the food that was to be offered to the Divine Mother. I clearly perceived that all this was the Divine Mother-even the cat.

After the above incident. this act of feeding the cat with food intended for Divine Mother Kali, was reported by the manager of Temple Garden as a complaint.

Most of the devotees of Sai Baba feels the vibrating conciousness while in Shirdi, in Sai Baba Temple, while performing Sai Baba Aratis, Chanting His divine name or Mantras, reading Sai SatCharitra or reading other books on Sai Baba (have received quite a few mails of devotees who feels the same while reading this blog), meditating on Sai Baba's picture or Idol, worshiping Sai Baba. As Sai Baba indicated in the Sai SatCharitra Chapter "Meditate always on My formless nature, which is knowledge incarnate, consciousness and bliss.", when we can see and feel Sai Baba as all-pervasiveness vibrating conciousness in everything in animals, in animals and even in inanimate things. The feeling of the vibrating presence is the start and the mind should be fed on that as much as we can. That is while regular devotion in any form is needed, just like bathing or cleaning of our bodies is done regularly, regular devotion to Sai Baba, should be done regularly. We don't say it will be ok if bath will be taken after a couple of days, or our dinning table or the living room will be cleaned after a day. More important than those is our mind and our herat which should be cleaned everyday with devotion.

The above incident reminds of few incidents where Sai Baba showed oneness with the animals a story about Sai Baba's showing oneness with dog and stories about Sai Baba showing oneness with cat and horse are already posted on this blog.

There is one more incident that is mentioned in Shri Sai SatCharitra Chapter 42.

Sai Baba said to her - "Oh Laxmi, Iam very hungry." Off she went saying - "Baba, wait a bit, I return immediately with bread." She did return with bread and vegetables and placed the same before Baba. He took it up and gave it to a dog. Laxmibai then asked - "What is this, Baba, I ran in haste, prepared bread with my own hands for You and You threw it to a dog without eating a morsel of it; You gave me trouble unnecessarily." Baba replied - "Why do you grieve for nothing? The appeasement of the dog's hunger is the same as Mine. The dog has got a soul; the creatures may be different, but the hunger of all is the same, though some speak and others are dumb. Know for certain, that he who feeds the hungry, really serves Me with food. Regard this as an exiomatic Truth."

celebrate Guru Purnima

Aum Sai Ram,

Haven't been able to write since long. Since few days was feeling like writing on the the Bhakti the simplest way to God. Have been reading Shri SaiSatCharitra continuously since past week. Some times the reading gets over in a day sometimes it takes two days. Surplus time is spent in reading Gospel of Shri Ramakrishna.

Following mail was found in the email inbox and so have sat to write this post after seeking
Sai Baba's blessings, that His grace writes.

Hi Alpesh,

Om Sai Ram,

Kindly tell me( or provide me the links )how celebrate Guru Purnima which is on July 17th.
I'm planning to do Sai Sacararita Parayanam and Guru Charita Parayanam.
And also planning to give food for any one Orphan institute.Thinking to take day off from work.
Kindly provide me some tips/advises.

The writer of the mail has written the answer itself with the question. Taking a day off from normal work and dedicating the mind on SatChit Ananda Shri Sai Baba, on the auspicous day of Guru Poornma is great. However Gurupurnima this year falls on 18th of July and not on 17th.

The writer also pours out his hearts feeling of Shri Sai SatChritra parayan and Guru Chraitra Parayan. Also of provoding food in Orphan institute.

The benefit of the way of Bhakti (devotion) is great. All that Bhakti requires is devotional heart and mind. There are many ways of Bhakti and devotees may enjoy any of the way or can enjoy the multitude dimensions of Bhakti like Prayan of Sacred texts, singing and listening to bhajans and devotional songs, Performing Arati (It's much better if Arati is performed on regular basis or at least after Parayan), lighting lamps and incense sticks (this too should be done on regular basis), meditating on Sai Baba's picture.

There are many ways of putting our mind on Shri Sai Baba what ever our heart tells us is best for us. Sai Baba is sitting in our heart and from our heart, He tells us what the best way to put ur minds on Him is suitable for us.

Sometimes we read something or hear something about Bhakti and our heart tells us, yes this is what i should do. There are many ways of devotion and to put our minds on Sai Baba, Sai Baba the inner guide tells us what to do.

The Gospel of Sri RamaKrishna

Aum Sai Ram
ॐ साई राम

Sadguru SaiNath Maharaj Ki Jai
सद्गुरु साईनाथ महाराज की जय

Have been reading Gospel of Sri RamaKrishna. The book every Sai Baba devotee should read. Just like Shri Sai SatCharitra, it is not just a book. These two are not books, but bottles of divine nectar, which never exhausts. Keep drinking the divine and sacred nectar and the flow is never exhausted in fact as the mind gets cleared by the flow the intensity, depth and the strength gathered on the mind increases. The mind gets soaked in the divine love and grace.

There would be some minds thinking, what is Sri RamaKrishna Paramhamsha doing on the blog dedicated to Shirdi Sai Baba. Have faced remarks like this one quiet often. Sai Baba is all powerful, infinite, SatChitAnanda without the beginning and without the end. Devotion to Him will lead us to Him. No doubt about it.

As devotees of Sai Baba how can we forget what often slept through His mouth Sabka Malik Ek. How can it be forgotten that Sai Baba asked many of devotees to read the religious scriptures and those were not restricted numbers.

Sai Baba always looked and for the quality of devotion and love for God to be deepened in His devotees. Devotees might have reached him through listening, seeing or feeling a miracle or chamatkar. Or getting their desires fulfilled. Then what was taught or indicated was the love for God, devotion. Love for Him as He is one with God, and loving Him is loving God.

The Gospel of Sri RamaKrisha if one looks at it as a book is just for that. Devotion and love for God.

Reading the following the mind went in depths asking only for the Love of Sai, discarding everything.

Master : "Pure love of God. I prayed to the Divine Mother (When i read this Sai Baba is my Divine Mother there is no difference between Kali Maa or Sai Baba). ' O Mother (Sai Baba), here, take Thy dharma; here, take Thy, Adharma; and give me pure love of Thee. Here, take Thy virtue; here, take Thy vice; and give me pure love for Thee. Here, take Thy knowledge: here, take Thy ignorance: and give me pure love of Thee.

What wonderful words, the divine strength and energy was already working on the brain and the mind. These words read, put it totally drenched in love of Sai Baba. How wonderful i don't want the Dharma or Adharma, virtue or vice, knowledge or ignorance. Normally it is seen that the mind cling or want to keep the Dharma, the virtue and knowledge. It gives the opposites of all these to God it is devoted to, in our case Sai Baba. Good things we want to keep and bad things O Baba take these away from me. The above prayer had a great impact and good results on mind. Only pure love of Thee, not even the virtues, Dharma or knowledge which is yet a vanity.

Another quote we may read as Sai Baba is our Loving Mother.

MASTER: "Pray to the Divine Mother with a longing heart. Her vision dries up all craving for the world and completely destroys all attachment to 'woman and gold'. It happens instantly if you think of Her as your own mother. She is by no means a godmother. She is your own mother. With a yearning heart persist in your demands on Her. The child holds to the skirt of its mother and begs a penny of her to buy a kite. Perhaps the mother is gossiping with her friends. At first she refuses to give the penny and says to the child: 'No, you can't have it. Your daddy has asked me not to give you money. When he comes home I'll ask him about it. You will get into trouble it you play with a kite now.' The child begins to cry and will not give up his demand. Then the mother says to her friends: 'Excuse me a moment. Let me pacify this child.' Immediately she unlocks the cash-box with a click and throws the child a penny.

Shirdi Sai Baba - Talking video on India Tv

Aum Sadguru SaiNathaya Namaha

Lately many shows are aired for the India Tv news channel, yesterday a hype was made about a video of Sai Baba of Shirdi, in which it was claimed that a video has been discovered in which Shirdi Sai Baba is talking. See the video below

Naturally millions of Sai Baba devotees would like to see a Sai Baba video and or listen to His voice.

But these television channels has a very cunning ability to exploit the feelings of masses whatever the subject may be. It is really sad. Even i got a phone call about Shirdi Sai Baba's program being aired n India TV. Had seen few and realized they were far from Sai Baba's teachings and more designed to exploit the love and devotion of the devotees of Sai Baba.

The Sai Baba Talking video shown in the television show was posted more than a year ago on this bog (more Shirdi Sai Baba animated videos) . All these videos can be downloaded by Sai Baba devotees for their computers or mobile phones . It was titled as Shirdi Sai Baba animations, ,by software programs like crazy talk any one could make such videos from pictures. Those videos were made by a Sai Baba devotee and posted on you tube for the devotees, merely to have the pleasure of Seeing Sai Baba's original pictures moving.

am posting all the animation videos for those who would not like to follow the links. Well trying to follow the links of those wonderful videos i get the message that the videos have been removed from the you tube for break of the terms and conditions, most cases are of copyrights. Am still wondering who complained about the wonderful videos and why?
